Birch plywood (Riga Ply) overlaid with a film on both faces. The wear face has a smooth wire mesh pattern (WH); the reverse normally is smooth, although it can have wire mesh pattern, too. Riga Smooth Mesh wire mesh overlay is decorative and resists hard wear.

Overlay
A smooth phenol or UV resistant film, which is hot-pressed onto the surface, is used as an overlay. The phenol film is composed of a basic paper which is impregnated with phenol resin. The UV resistant film is impregnated with special thermosetting mixture of polymers containing amino resins. Riga Smooth Mesh have smooth wire mesh pattern imprinted in hot pressing process.
On special request, panels can be overlaid with multi layer phenol film thus giving superior wear resistance of overlay. The overlaying film can be the same on both faces or it can differ.
Wire mesh pattern can be of two kinds:
Large Mesh - 2.5 mesh per 1cm
Small Mesh - 4.5 mesh per 1cm
Advantages
